A STORY BEHIND THE SONG

Picture
SINGING/PLAYING
"I believe music is a powerful way to reach people for the Lord. So many beautiful songs that tell the story of Christ, His love and His salvation.

Growing up, I sang and performed with my family. As an adult, I still have the opportunity to sing with my family, but now, it also includes my daughters."

WRITING
"With my father, I have had the opportunity to write several songs. Recently I wrote a new song for my husband, Chris, as a gift on Pastor Appreciation Day. As I wrote the song Pastor's Wife's Heart,  I wanted the Church to know more and more of how much my husband loves them. As I sang Pastor's Wife's Heart, the doors began to open to sing it at other Churches and events. I am thankful that I get to remind so many pastor's wives of the sacrifice their husband's make as well as the congregations."

Keely wrote seven songs on the latest project, "Like Never Before"--below, is a short story about a few of them!

REST IN HIS GRACE - "This song is my testimony. God woke me up during the summer of 2022 with the lyrics to this chorus. I would sing it while heading to work and before long, He gave me the verses. It wasn't until 2024 that I officially brought to my family to sing. It is true that every song has a time! I stand amazed at how God has used this song to encourage others."

THROUGH THE EYES OF LAZARUS - "I was reading one morning about Mary and Martha - Mary was worshipping and Martha was upset that Mary wasn't helping her. In that passage, it said that their brother, Lazarus, was sitting at the table watching all of that take place. Furthermore, I began to meditate on the miracle of Lazarus through his eyes."

YOU STILL CHOSE ME - "I believe we just has communion at our home church, at the time; what Christ did for us was fixated in my mind that evening. On my way home, turning down our dirt road, God gave me the chorus to this song. It took longer to complete because I desired for the listeners to feel every bit of what Christ did for us on the cross!"
